Bantul Samagra

Narayan Debnath (conceived in 1925 ) is senior and mainstream funnies craftsman of India, who is the maker of well known Bengali funnies including ‘Handa Bhonda’ (in Shuktara magazine since 1962), ‘Batul The Great'(in Shuktara magazine since 1965) and ‘Nonte Phonte'(in Kishor Bharati magazine since 1969). He holds the record of longest showing funnies to an individual artiste for Handa Bhonda funnies arrangement which have now finished its ceaseless 53 years of running. He is the sole Comics-Artist in India who has gotten D.Lit certificate (Doctor of Literature).
